Aligning all departments behind a single vision

FoxRock Properties is one of Boston’s fastest-growing commercial real-estate firms, with a diverse portfolio of properties comprising over 5 million square feet of office space. We asked Jason Ward, MD of FoxRock, what it was like working with WITHIN.

What problem were you trying to solve?
Last year was a tough year in the commercial property management industry. Our teams worked hard and enabled us to achieve some hard-won victories, but they need to do it again this year. So I commissioned WITHIN to run a full-day session with our entire team to set us up for success. I wanted them to lay the foundations for us to start the year as 'one team' rather than individual departments with individual goals.

What was it like working with WITHIN?
I've sat through a lot of all-hands meetings. The toughest nut to crack in these settings is authenticity. WITHIN brought fresh thinking and contagious energy to the session, but most importantly they were real and made themselves vulnerable when that was crucial to getting the buy-in of my team. WITHIN’s session felt different to any team-building I’ve been part of - authentic, commercial, and focused on achieving impact.
